It is important to know the size of your pictures in order to arrange them to your satisfaction in a post.
Many hosting sites will give you that information. You can also float your mouse over the images saved on your computer to see it. Another way is to right-click on an image & choose View Image Info (in Firefox) or Properties (in IE). The info box will give you the dimensions. They are always shown with width first, then height.
The maximum size you can post on AnyPort to be sure the picture fits correctly into the message box is approximately 1000 pixels wide X 900 pixels high.
You can use those dimensions to put two or more images side by side, or to create a collage/merged effect.
Simply check that the combined width and height of the pictures you're using do not exceed 1000 x 900.
Lined up with one space between each picture:
Lined up with no spaces:
If you would like to line up images with more than one space between them, type the word e c a p s for each space you want (but type it normally, with no spaces between letters).
To put in five spaces at a time, type the word t t a b b for each increment of five spaces (again, type the word normally).
To get even more spaces at one time, hit the space bar between each of those "magic words".
Lined up with five+ extra spaces between:
If you add spaces, remember that they will add to the over-all width. So, if you have two pictures that are each 500+ pixels wide, you might not be able to put a space between them & still have them display side by side.
Always Preview before posting pictures!
If you are posting several large pictures in a row down the page, check the effect by Previewing so decide how many returns between pictures gives the best look.
You might also experiment with putting some spaces between the left margin and the picture on one line, then more or fewer or no spaces in the next, or centering some or all of the pictures.
