I'm sure we all have some peeves about things that have been turned into verbs whether we like it or not. But some of the inventions are completely useful. Just google it if you don't believe me. Or read this.

I love that the article often uses the word "verb" as a verb. As in... "language is remarkably flexible in terms of what can be verbed".
I often hate when people use words incorrectly (like to "borrow" someone some money)... but using a noun or adjective as a verb doesn't really bother me.
It is sure simpler to "text" someone or "friend" them on facebook instead of "sending them a text message" or "accepting their friend request"...

One term that I like regarding Facebook type sites is to "unfriend" or to "defriend."

And I'm sure we've all had friends we would like to defenestrate.

I had a client when I worked in mental health who used to make a verb out of paranoia, and say,"that paranoids me",I still use it to this day....

Moreover, "friend" is superfluous in English as the proper verb is "befriend", a verb formed in a very typical West-Germanic way.
