Wow ~~ the young man in #97 could be a faun depicted by a Dutch master. Beautiful!
Love the classic texting-young-people shot, but the double portrait is a real triumph.

Yes, great shot, Palesa.
I like your interpretation of the thread theme there, Kerouac, but really love the sheer photographic artistry of it.

K2, Thanks for the link to your vietnam threads with their fascinating photos. How did I miss them when they were "fresh"?

The link didn't work for me so I removed it. However, everybody is invited to the Vietnam branch to see "Mekong Delta" parts 1, 2 and 3 which Kimby cruelly ignored when they were first posted.

Kimby, that is a truly, truly excellent photographic portrait! Wow -- I just love the pose, the composition, the squared-off areas of color ........ stellar!! K2, Thanks for the link to your vietnam threads with their fascinating photos. How did I miss them when they were "fresh"? Just a note here for bookmarks users ~~ be sure to open the Main page from time to time, as you'll have a much better chance of catching sight of new stuff.

Thanks, bixa. This woman and her more-mainstream-looking husband joined a guided tour that I was part of at the old Montana State Prison, hence the austere background. Because I didn't want her to know I was taking her photo, I had to be discrete and take a wide angle shot that I later cropped to this photo. Otherwise unaltered. We frequently see Hutterite families and couples shopping at the Walmart, and their farms produce renowned "free-range turkeys" for Thanksgiving that are sold at the local organic grocery store - people start lining up before daylight for the opportunity to buy a fresh free-range bird. I never have, but only because the birds are way too big for my kitchen and household.

Good one. There sure is a sharp contrast between the two guys in front and the "colorful" young couple behind them.

Isn't she gorgeous?! She has such pure lines to her face, and an aristocratic bearing even as she munches pumpkin seeds on a hard stone bench.
