Ouch X 2. Remembering what happened to Phil Hughes, all Aussies are angry at this sort of bowling at the batsman. Jofra might be a good bowler but he will have no respect. At least he did not get their wickets. Hoping for a rain-free match on Thursday.

Oh come on Questa. The Aussies have dished it out for years (Lillee and Thomson?) and if they had an Archer they would be doing exactly the same.
Plus Smith’s was poor technique because he ducked into it. He walks across his stumps.

Of course you're right. I apologize for being snarky...I took a tumble this morning and have lots of bumps and bruises and a leg that won't take weight so not in a cheerful mood when I wrote. Roll on Thursday!

I slept through it all, of course! Then I got a mental image of some older, wiser Pom bowler advising Jofra..."See, I told you not to rattle their cage, it only makes them angry and bite." Thanks for the congrats. It's a funny old season, could have gone either way.

A remarkable outcome, perhaps Jofra should rattle the cage harder

History has been made. Do you remember Headingly in 1981? Every so often the Poms turn up an unexpected hero. Once more congratulations, and we must remember "It ain't over till the fat lady sings"

I saw that Scott Morrison and Boris Johnson were able to exchange cricket pleasantries at the G7 in Biarritz, but neither looked like they had played cricket for some time.

Nice to see Smith in full flight. Pity about the weather though.

Thanks, Mick, but it was pretty touch and go several times. I think the fans got their money's worth and silenced some of the hecklers. This series will be talked about for years.

Thank you for this, Mick. So far that is 1 hour, 17 minutes and 1 second I will never get back again! I will devour it all in smaller bites as I delight "in the midst of the ensuing chaos". I love the Padre's sermon, too.

Eldest grandson can't wait for the season to start and yesterday he and his Aussie coach had an outdoor net ! In January! Fortunately it was bright and sunny.

Congratulations to England for whipping our backsides….it was painful to watch Sundays game and I only watched 5 min. yesterday. But, we have to realise you can't win all the time. Hopefully we will get our act together come back stronger next time.
