He is really wonderful, Cheery, and his expression is a triumph -- wounded and weary, but still game.

He is much better with 2 legs. He is so life-like that people would pity him more than honour him.You really have the touch. I will be proud when one day discerning buyers fight over a "Cheery" doll and art critics review your exhibitions of a new art medium.

I like everything except his face, which seems a bit off. I'm sure that he just requires a tiny tweak.

I'm very surprised that Vladimir hasn't been snapped up yet. Oh well, the right person will come along. The Grayson Perry idea is a hoot. My vote:

Too late I'm afraid Kerouac...he's out of my hands. I'm adapting patterns all the time tho so hopefully I will get the faces right eventually. It's a learning curve I don't know whether to go the full Bo Peep with Grayson...although there's the possibility he'd just end up looking like a manly Shepherdess. I could make him in his loud, colourful man clothes...

Whatever you decide, you'll have fun finding the fabric for the frock!
And Morris man's face is perfect as is!

Dolls' faces should be as perfect as human faces, which is to say ~ not at all.

Totally wonderful again!
You should make a full selection of Anyport members and we would probably kill each other bidding who would pay the most to get them.

I've met 5 Anyporteers. Of course they are all terribly good looking...it would probably be impossible to capture their unearthly beauty in fabric.

Your soldiers -- Walter and Albert -- have been my favourites by far. I like seeing soldiers who don't look like killers, just guys doing their duty.
With November 11th coming up, it would be wonderful to see a group of soldiers -- British, French, German, Russian... celebrating peace at last. Yes, I know that even if you wanted to, you don't have time to do such a thing.

I am having a break...at least until I've caught up on the ironing and got the dreaded festive shopping out of the way.

I think you know what a big fan I am of your amazing dolls, Cheery, but I'll say it again: art, pure art!
I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, although the suffragette's outfit is just brilliant. For expression, I'd have to say Albert & Agatha, but I love them all.

I have fallen in love with Agatha, she is so prim and proper, but she has intelligent eyes and a little smile on her lips. I think she knows that today Matron is going to promote her, but it is supposed to be a secret.
Cheery, you are so gifted. Please don't push yourself, each small person you create is a wonder and joy, don't let it become a chore.

Thank you my darlings, your comments are appreciated. At present it's a nice way to pass the time. If it becomes a chore I'll stop and do something else. The sister with breast cancer has to have loads of chemo (just to be on the safe side) so I will be spending time with her on day ward whilst she has her infusions...poor lamb was in shock as she sailed through her mastectomy and feels fine, she was told that they removed all the diseased tissue so she'd thought that she wouldn't need anything else. 6 doses at 3 week intervals. It will be fine.

...and because I can't stand not doing anything I've already started a small doll...no idea yet what it will be.

A small adult, or a child, or a baby? Maybe a schoolboy in uniform or girl with plaits? The world is your oyster, Cheery.
(What a strange expression that is! Why 'oyster'?)

Of course, Patrick, how could I miss it? My main association with oysters is not pearls but nasty cuts and a gashed leg when as kids we would chip away at the wild oysters near our home. They were delicious, though, fresh and firm and salty.
