Thank you good people. Yes, HTMB, there are some jewels in here. Sometimes the saddest of times inspire. Would Picasso have had a 'Blue Period' were he on Prozac? And Chopin? Mon Dieu! Never would he have written such a melancholic repertoire of sadness. I digress, pardon.

Chill winds arrive from the north. Hurried birds point the way south. I am losing my sense of direction. The weathervane spins round and round.

I have an allergy to poetry. I also have a love of words. Strange things are at war in my brain. My battle wounds bloody the screen.

Yes, htmb! Guide those children home. Nice one!
He has hives, difficulty breathing, itching all over. It must be an allergic reaction. Say, what's with that poet up there? The man's tongue is on fire.

I awoke this morning to find a large hairy beast in my kitchen Cornered and cowed by the old cat. Sweet, good-natured dogs can be such a comfort and a joy I'm glad this one came to visit for awhile.
(The cat, however, hates her, and since she will terrorize the dog any chance she get, I keep them separated by a gate when humans are not around to intervene)

The old tree has lost its thorns. Dead branches have come crashing down. Sap should begin to flow in the spring. Winter storms will have their say first.

Hide all youse, that are ashamed, live in your dark caves where the sun will never touch your face. But still, daily you must face yourselves.

Now a light shines through my window. One sharp point of light onto the soft comfort of my pillow. Beyond the dark shapes and shadows. Before the greater darkness lit by fireflies.

Her eyes search my face intensely. If I turn away she pulls at my sleeve. Once she was caring for a little boy. The aging man she watches holds a secret to her past.

The days end with cicadas' pulsing buzz and a dying light on the sunflowers. They say the world will get too warm; For now we have summer, a good earth, and each other.

The eyes, the look, haunts me still They come alive in my dreams and dance upon my mind at day How to make sense of what should not be?
