Each year seems to contain things that were not in our imagination, but also most things turn out as expected anyway, in most countries at least.
I know I didn't cover everything, but here are 20 possibilities at your disposal.
(I hope that everybody here knows that anybody can do a poll -- all you need is an idea.)

Interesting, intriguing questions posed but, seemingly, easy enough right now to answer. I look very much forward to the new year. I hope to do some significant traveling and thanks to my mother's generosity will be able to do so. With this in mind,I am making some plans to travel to Europe, meet some folks that I have acquainted myself with here on the Port and on another forum and enjoy myself.

I don't know what 2011 holds for me, but I always fine the prospect of a new year quite exciting, and full of hope. All I want is for my family to continue in good health, for my sons to find work and for Dad to celebrate his 90th birthday in July.
A significant lottery win would be pretty good too.... ;D

2011 is going to be busy, busy for me. I'm off to the UK for a few weeks. Arranging the right time to do this has proven more to be complicated than I thought... I don't want it to be during a school holiday, I want it to be after my son's birthday, and after my bf's time off work, so I can spend a good amount of time with him before I leave. I'm really looking forward to spending time in Winchester with the amazing Spindrift and seeing my mom and family/friends again. btw anyone who is in the UK or Europe, who'd like to meet up while I'm there, please PM me. This summer is going to more crazy then usual, and in the Fall I'm moving to Canada's Ocean Playground for a year I've always wanted to do some whale watching. I'm going to try and get to see the big bands and musicians that have their acts there each year, I'm hoping Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen will play there while I'm there. (I can hope)

It's going to be even better than 2011, I'm convinced of that!
In fact I'm a bit in awe of that...

Maybe it's the new defrosted playground, the Arctic Ocean!

Although I think I'll have to go across the water for the concerts.

With 4 parents/inlaws in their late 80's/90's I'm expecting my family could get smaller this year. On the bright side, we expect to "finish" the lake cottage by summer. I hope that our parents will be able to visit it at least once before their number is up...
