Ah, Mexico. Is it a country full of pyromaniacs? A very colorful place, that's for sure.

I cannot judge pyromania objectively, Htmb.

Maybe not, but you sure know how to compose a pretty picture!

Good eye, Kerouac. The cobwebs add even more interest to the photo.

Mysterious circles, Bixa. It is clearly an extreme closeup, but I can't figure out of what.

Think spaghetti.
Gorgeous window, made even better by the square in the center.

Think spaghetti. Gorgeous window, made even better by the square in the center. It can't be spaghetti, one never, ever, ever adds oil to one's pasta water!

Yes, one does. And some of us have stopped salting the water.

There, there, dear -- take deep breaths.
Kerouac, whereas I applaud your avoidance of sodium, did you see how cool the salt crystals look, all magnified by the water?

Yes, I thought the salt looked very nice at the bottom of the pot.
Fumo, there is a very good line in the film "The 100 Foot Journey" where the traditional chef is horrified that the young Indian chef has modified the recipe for a sauce. "But this recipe is 200 years old!" He replies "perhaps 200 years is enough." Frankly, I am tossing more and more traditions out the window (but of course keeping some of them, even when they make little sense).

Yes, they are windows being installed in the old Entrepot Macdonald, which is being converted into more than 1000 apartments -- the longest building in Paris. Each section of the building was awarded to a different architect (at least a dozen), so they are outdoing each other with ideas.

Haven't visited this page in awhile. Boy, have I missed a lot! Hard to single any one out, but I gravitate toward the mossy bricks in #184.
