could be, though we are already here for almost two weeks... i think it might have to do with the party we went to, though. he has never been a big drinker, and in india we didn't drink alcohol at all, so i guess even a couble of beer and one whiskey is already a lot for him...

Probably a combination of all those factors. Sweetie is a cheap drunk if such a small amount of booze affects him thusly. Hope you don't find the weather too cold, returning. I think you missed the nasty winter weather.
I was thinking of this thread this morning as I was making hummus from chick peas and tahina, adding a bit of lemon juice here, a bit of garlic there.
