That's a bugger. I've got a dental appointment on the 24th.

Do they have a dentist in Bugarach? What day is the boulangerie closed?

I wish these enders would decide on the same day.
What I find very amusing is how, when the end of the world doesn't occur, these people have all sorts of explanations as to why it didn't happen. Jehovah Witnesses are particularly adept at this, as they've predicated at least half a dozen "End of the World". My, my, they've been wrong each time.

Well, Jehovah's Witnesses are not very accurate about the beginning either -- somewhere around 4000 BC, I believe.

Jehovah's Witnesses never bother to close their bank accounts for the end of the world, though.

I don't believe any super spirit/being would be dictated to by mere mortals that came out of a scum pond.
As for the 21st - I'm inviting a friend to lunch so the end of the world better not spoil our nosh!

I've spent all day sending postcards to those who haven't got e mail. I wonder if they'll get them in time.

Excellent warning, but I think I might have been arrested by then. After the robbery of the armoured car parked in front of my building at the beginning of the week, yesterday an armoured car parked next to my office was robbed. I think I must be a prime suspect.

I really really really really hope the media follow up on those who said it would happen, publish their weasely worded excuses as to why it didn't and expose the hypocrisy and stupidity of believing in it.
Stupid people.

Every time predictions fail, those people always come up with an excuse. "Jesus has given the world a short reprieve, but we have worked out the next end-of-the-world date which is....."

I just can't express in words how much contempt and ridicule I posses for those that believe this utter utter drivel. There must be a word or words to describe the naive stupidity of them. I just can't understand how someone can even start to think it will happen. There must be something seriously lacking in their life to do so - more than likely, a brain.
Believing in a God is one thing, believing a human interpretation of what he is supposed to have said or means with as much faith as that which you put in the deity itself is asking for calamity and just such situations. Naive is not a strong enough word by far. Neither is crass stupidity (ok, two words). I think I might just have to make one up.

Idaivupid: a person who has an unflinching belief in what another person tells them what a Diety is supposed to have said, or that person's interpretation of any religious writings.

Has anyone been raptured yet? I'm following the news and the practice laps for the Spanish Grand Prix and I've not seen any evidence of it so far. I'm just wondering mainly if the problems Vettel is having will be resolved before qualifying later.

I heard it was supposed to be at 6 o'clock, but it wasn't specified whether it was Greenwich Mean Time, 6 am, 6 pm or some 6 in whatever time zone these lunatics are living.

Exactly. That's one of the variables that shouldn't be there. If they know it's 6 o'clock then they should know which one - if it were true.
