Thanks, ladies htmb, that is so interesting. Have you ever thought about tracing back your ancestry? This area is indeed gorgeous, each season has it's own kind of special charm. questa, it is a very peaceful place to visit. Just a reflection of the province in general. My new camera... well, I think the photos came out okay? What do you think? Looking back on the ones taken by my old camera, I think there is not a lot of difference really. The new one is the same make and kind as the old one, just with a few more pixels and a slightly better zoom. It's a compact type, one of the cheaper ones out there right now. But I'm happy with it, although I still haven't got used to to the various settings...

It's great to see an update on King's Landing and how 'civilised' Canada looks, after taking us on your adventures all over India.

What a contrast huh? ;D
It was quite something going from this kind of tranquility to the chaos of India. It was like stepping into another world for me. Surreal.

Actually, what is even better is to see how 'easy' it is to adapt to a new lifestyle when one changes countries... which a number of us have done in our lifetime, sometimes more than once.
It totally contradicts those anti-immigrant people who harp about "those people will never change."

People do adapt, no doubt about it. Perhaps there is a difference to just visiting a place as to living in one and making it your 'home'. The latter is a long term commitment. I've lived on three different continents now. Each one was 'home' for a while and I know that if I made another permanent move I would adapt and adjust to that country too. But then again, I am used to moving, I've lived in over 40 different places now. However what pulls me back each time is family. Where family is that is my home, that's the bottom line. One day, I'll grow up and leave home Just not yet.

Never grow up, that is the secret of inner contentment and peace of mind.

I was to Kings Landing with my cousin who is a Porter from Springfield at that time. Then I was there again about 5 years ago with my friend. I just love going there when I can. It is so much like our Plimoth Plantation in Massachusetts where a copy of the Mayflower is now. I have been there twice too. When I was last at Kings Landing there were building a boat and I wonder if it had been finished. I can't remember what it was going to be used for. The photo's bring back memories. smithdot84@gmail.com yes that is my age!!
