Better late than never... but here is the pic I promised of my folks' garden in Edinburgh and more importantly the wall that I built around 14 years ago. The paving nearest the camera was done by a friend and myself 2 years ago but I need to add that he is a professional at that sort of thing and I just helped/watched. Please don't ask what the plants are... there is a big Forsythia and a small pear tree which were in blosson last week.

That looks nice, Iain. I know all about 'helping/watching' -- especially the second part.

Iain, that's a great wall you built. It must be very satisfying to build a wall.

I was disappointed to see that some of the bricks are crumbling now. They were "antique" when they here bought, having previously been part of the railway shed used to do maintainance on the old steam locomotives near Haymarket station in Edinburgh. It needs some pretty major repairs done this summer, I am sorry I looked at it now!
How is your garden taking, Spindrift?

Iain, I've taken some good photos of it. Unfortunately I've lost my camera's USB lead.
Everything is growing apace and the tulips have been wonderful. We've had some sunshine too which has helped.
