Thank you bjd...the geranium is a bit of thug where it is and I have to keep pulling bits out. If I get a little clump I'll send you some...but not today. The white flower?...er...can't remember but I'll go look for the seed packet

Might be flax? Hard to tell what leaves go with the flowers.
I can't remember the name of the one in reply #147 but I've grown it and the bees adore it. It also self sows, but nowhere near prolifically.

What a wonderful array, Cheery. That thing of giving seed packets at a baby shower is a great idea, too.
You always have such a romantic garden. What is that tequila sunrise flower just above the borage? Makes a super show

Bjd asked 'What are the white ones in the last picture?' These are larkspur, came to me last night when I was just getting into bed! The orange/pink ones are nemesias Bixa, sunset/sunsata orange or something similar I've edited the posts adding plant names ..and thank you for your nice comments too...

Outstanding, Cheery! Don't you love it when you thin and tidy and move stuff around and at the end it looks as though you planned it that way all along?

In the 3rd pic on post #158 you can see quite a lot of tall plants behind the new planting. Jeff asked me to tke out the achileas, the tree spinach and one of the agastache plants because he thought they were ungainly so..in the interests of harmony I took them out...biting my tongue. In their place I put a little fuchsia... So the plants that I've grow from seed for pennies have been replaced with a plant that cost £s.... *sigh* He's still trying to persuade me to slab the lot and just have plants in pots.

Is it wise to talk about "taking out", a spousal annoyance, and a SLAB all in the same breath?

How can plants be ungainly? Maybe your husband would prefer a garden I saw the other day: empty of vegetation except for a large square in the middle with boring, little red sages all lined up, well spaced. The rest was concrete and dirt.

Jeff would prefer slabs everywhere...cheap ones. A few pots with summer bedding in them nicely spaced..not all together in groups like I have them. Humph!

What a great show!
Now that I’m totally restricted to home my garden should look perfect by the end of the week..

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arisaema_triphyllumI was surprised to see it in Cheery's garden as I think of it as a N.American wildflower. All just wonderful, Cheery. As always, your color combinations are exciting and perfect.

Thank you for your kind comments x
I bought the arisema bulb at Gardeners' World Live in 2006. I didn't know that it was a N.American wild flower! I love it.
The yellow zinnia doesn't quite fit in with the colour combination Bixa. But it's self sewn so it's staying. I have a similar problem in the front garden planters...one pink flower amongst the orange millionbells, purple heliotrope and orange/red french marigolds...maybe I should switch the two rogues...but no...

Oh, I agree that the lone yellow zinnia should stay. It reminds me of a littlest kid bravely determined to play with the others.
Now you have to show us the other rogue!
