Thank you, Mick.
Do remember my envy of the hellebores, peonies, roses & other treasures you can grow in your part of the world.
(But yeah -- you'd be in your element here!)

SIMPLY STUNNING!!!
(I'm curious Mick as I know you grow them. Do they not get to the blooming stage even in your greenhouse?)
I had a client, one of my early mentors who was mad for these and had several specimens of them that bloomed at the same time each year. When she was unable to walk the stairs to her sunroom, she would ask me to bring one of them upstairs and place it to be seen by her bridge party she hosted on the days I was there.

I’ve had it and lost it.
I currently have Adenium boehmianum which is very slow and not keen on flowering.
I once read that to grow Adeniums successfully you grow them like tomato plants in summer and your rarest plant in winter.
I think Cheery has one?

Thank you all so much! I was please with how the picture came out, as the flower is beautiful. a flowering Adenium obesum? That takes skill, real skill....... To be completely honest, you'd have to go out of your way to grow those poorly here. They love this climate & thrive with almost no help from me.

I am always impressed by the temerity of plants that grow in cracks. I think you photographed a Dandelion. May be a weed but it has brought many a delight to a child as it blows the thin fuzzy white seeds into the air. Bixa - I missed that photo of your Adenium obesum, "desert rose". Too glorious for words! Luggs unusual pic of the inside of a tulip is wonderful.

Excellent, lugg. I've been looking at dandelion seedheads these past few days, too, and was tempted to photograph them as well.
