At the risk of being twee and asking a predictable question....how did you choose your username?
Mine was fairly random...I came up with it when I was on another forum years ago...it describes me as I see myself..quite a positive, happy person but a bit dippy...
Kerouac... does your name have anything to do with the beat poet Jean-Louis Lebris de Kerouac?
OnlyMark....erm.... ;D
I do apologise...but I am curious as some of the names are quite complex.... ;D

Yes, CPB, I used to be on the road quite a bit. As much as possible.

Simply because I walked into a room one time and someone said, "Is that anyone important?" The answer was, "No, it's only Mark."

When my family, royalty of the Borax lineage, had to flee our home planet, I was just an infant and had not had my first naming and official reception of the first of what would be my many titles. Thus it was that Fredros and Mryan, my illustrious parents, took me before The Old Ones to receive a name that would reveal me to any cognoscenti here in this lower planet.

I call myself Tod but my real name is Todraos. My children are Jordan & Gina, so I occasionally sign in to a website as Jorgina! (especially when I play poker....)

Yes, what is the origin of that name? Is it common? (Probably not, or we would have heard of it before...)

I don't think it's from this planet. I've always suspected Tod of being a higher life form.

Kimby is from my first name and last initial, obviously.
Though why I chose it instead of nicknames I've actually been called IRL, like "Kimmer" and "Kimothy", I'm not sure. New forum, new start perhaps?

My friend P said, many moons ago - she doesn't even remember it herself, that I was like an agony aunt. And she said " dear auntie annie..." she and so many people used to ask me all kinds of questions such as the meaning of life (42), should they ditch that guy, should they pursue this other one? etc etc etc.

There's an avatar thread, too, Imec.
Hmmm. Do you have two middle names?
My dad sometimes used to call me by what my initials spelled out. Since they spell out a type of Indian food, using it for an internet handle would just be confusing.

It's normal for me to be charlie. Except when I'm really normal. charlie was an exceptionable alfa dog who was without pockets. But that was on another chat forum. Like Bix I was drop kicked across the universe to sprout here as a intelligent fern. Fidddlehead is another name but not here in this most illustrious of company.

No, not really, Kimby.
The only handle I use is 'Deyana' on the couple of forums that I post on. Oh and on the rare occasions I post on Thorn-tree nowadays I have the handle 'Kally-annie'. And that's about it.

I am dragging up this old thread to report on how I chose HTMB to be my username. When I was twenty, my little sister, who was ten at the time, was diagnosed with a form of blood cancer. She died less than two years later after all kinds of debilitating treatments. She was a perfect sister in every way and her initials were HTMB. I've never really used them for anything before, and am enjoying recalling her beautiful spirit through her name (and, yes, she had two middle names which she was not too thrilled about).
