Thought I'd revive the thread a bit ... This is not really a tourist site but it is a place I like to go to: One of several outdoor artificial climbing towers that we have in different parts of town. Rock climbing is growing in popularity (like in many places), but since there are no real rocks of climbable size in Berlin, people have to go to climbing gyms or these towers (some of them being more like rock imitation, some more like a wall in a climbing gym). This one is in the "Mauerpark", a park that runs along a stretch of land that surrounded part of the wall. The land east of the wall often was left empty, and while in many areas houses were built on it soon after the wall came down, in this area they decided to use it for a park, instead.

it is just a painted wooden snail (maybe 1 m long and 50 cm tall) that they put up as a sculpture or decoration in a petting snow. the ground is muddy with some snow (not taken this year, we haven't had snow yet).
