One is merely being posed by the photographer in a twee fashion....my tootsie just happened to be raised...very NICE tootsie it is an'all....you are lucky to get a glimpse. It's one of the very few photos of me that I quite like.... oh but I've changed.....

I will try to find my famous photo, but I was already at least 18 months old.

You were (are!) absolutely precious! What a bright-eyed, pretty little girl. One assumes you have better hair nowadays. I thought I had a picture of me as a little baby, one where I'm actually smiling. Sorry, this is all I can find. One has been turned sideways to show the baby face better, with my godmother rudely tilted aside. The other one my mother must have taken as proof of her contention that I could whistle from the time I was six months old. (that, along with smoking & general bitchiness probably explains present-day wrinkles around my once perfect lips)

What lovely girls we are Bixa...I am very impressed with the whistling...I couldn't whistle until I was 10...
I am sad to say that the baby pics are the only photos my parents had taken of me...my older siblings had dozens of pics taken of them. I spose that by the time I came along (5th child) they'd seen it all before so didn't bother.

hm i don't think i was a particularly beautiful baby... not sure about the very early times... can only go by what my parents tell me, anyway... later, when i was about two years old, i had to compete with a younger brother who had long, blond curls... while i always had a kind of red face, messy, too thin hair, and apparently talked every adult's ear of... my mom says though she always felt a bit mad at other people spending so much attention on my brother and not on me... but i guess i was still cute enough... photowise, that is the youngest i have online, but there i am already about four, and my brother about two (and lost the curls), i think...

Cheery, by the time you came along they were so overwhelmed with the WORK of raising 4 kids that they didn't have time to take photos of the new baby. I bet they would have if they hadn't been so busy. Bixa, I was surprised to see that I am getting "smokers wrinkles" in menopause, as I am not a smoker. Then it occured to me that I am probably paying for a lifetime of whistling. I tried stopping for a few weeks. The wrinkles were still there and my mood was suffering, so wrinkles be damned, I'm back at it! Here's my baby pic, with my younger (and cuter) sister. (Who also whistled as a baby, like bixa)

Rikita & Kimby -- dolls, absolute dolls!
Rikita, you were so lucky that your hair stayed that glorious color. Kimby, I've seen your picture too, so know how pretty you are. Do you still have a dimple?

I'll have to find mine - I put it away somewhere. A dirty newborn pic - bare-arsed on a rug. I had lots of dark curly hair (lots of hair even when I was born) but unlike bixa, blue eyes, with dark lashes. I was small and skinny.

Rikita and her brother remind me of living Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. So cute.

"Let's see how this arm tastes!"
You were a macho little cutie, even though your sisters think you belong there with the dolls and stuffed animals. Is that your mother in the background?
LaGatta, despite your description, I'll bet you were a beautiful baby.

They're my cousins, I'm the oldest in my family! No. 1! I don't remember those dolls, my favourite was a humpty dumpty doll, I remember that The one in the background is one of my mother's younger sisters.

Hwinnp is definitely a beautiful baby...aw...your cousins seem to adore you too... ;D As for Kerouac...what a cutie. Love the hat, earmuffs and mittens... are the mittens on a piece of elastic threaded through the arms of your coat?
