Stunning pics Amboseli!! #4 really, really sends me. Thanks casimira#4 is taken in Kinderdijk, Holland (quite obvious with the windmills) on a very cold winter day. The waterways in the polders were all frozen. Ideal for ice-skating! It was like stepping in the 19th century.

Super portrait of your doggy, Cheery. Love that atmospheric study, Amboseli.

I find just about all of these photos amazingly more effective than if they were in colour, but I would really like to know how a person who has never seen black and white photography would react.

I don't think it would cause any confusion. After all, going as far back as pre-historic times, drawings and paintings have been done in less than full color, not to mention in shorthand, unrealistic ways that humans still recognized.

Wonderful study! The various forms making up the composition are striking and the whole picture invites contemplation.

The masked bandits in back are clearly planning to attack what the woman is admiring and the man is trying to figure out.

My Aunt. On holiday she tripped over a rope and banged her head that's why she has a bandage on. I love this photo.

Yes it's not - I am very happy to delete it. I wasn't aware ( forgotten) that photos should be originals. Tell me what to do.

Close to where I live is this derelict building which is exposing its wattle and daub . I think it has been sold recently -- but there is no vehicular access or any services close by so it will be interesting to see what happens next. live.staticflickr.com/65535/52622692067_edf2fb7e1f_z.jpg
