I've seen a few photos of your loved ones in Random Portraits but I don't think there's a separate thread. Here's a couple of my Dad. I'm always glad when I catch him off guard, because otherwise he makes the most hokey poses. My grandma making lumpia, my favorite Filipino dish. My other half.

You really capture something special with each picture, Ms.Girl. I particularly love the 2nd photo of your dad.
And hey -- you got yourself a handsome half there!

Wow -- I can see where a certain girl in NY got her dazzling smile. Your mother is stunning!
That's a lovely portrait of father and son. I love how there's no color in it except for the subtle variations of flesh. You can almost feel them breathing.

Nycgirl is going to have to change her name to Cowgirl.

She's a modern person. It would have to be something like Cowpokémon. People love it when you take a good picture of them. I'd pay you a million dollars if you could take a good picture of me! (my money is safe )

I'd pay you a million dollars if you could take a good picture of me! (my money is safe ) That's not true!. You took some very nice self-portaits on the bus recently. So, does anyone else want to broadcast their loved ones to complete strangers on the World Wide Web? They probably won't mind.

I have located a rare photo of the elusive Kerouac family. The moustache on the left might be the older brother. The well fed older people are probably the parents, and I believe that young Kerouac might be trying to hide in the back.

Gosh -- is everyone here exceptionally attractive and with handsome families to boot?!
NYCGirl I neglected to comment on your super equestrian portrait. Again, you have the most wonderful smile.
Not only are those two children beautiful, the poses and expressions really turn each portrait into art. You have such a gift!
Love the pose on the boat, Mich, with you & your handsome husband. Looking at that & at the other one of you with the in-laws, all I can think is that I'd kill for your gorgeous skin.
Kerouac, that's a great, happy family portrait. I've only seen one other picture of you, and this one really brings out your nice smile and more personality (& your height!)

Nycgirl, your family is very photogenic. Absolutely adorable little ones!
Bixa, thank you for the comment on my skin, my sisters always teased me about it.
Kerouac, what a wonderful photo! You really look like your mother and actually alot like one of our best friends here in Canada!
Cheers, Mich

Great thread nycgirl.
You have such a wonderful family. Do you have horse of your own? Or is it just a hobby?
Kerouac, you really are quite tall aren't you? You have you mom's happy eyes. Mich you look so relaxed and content. And Cheery, your photos always make me smile, you're always up to something!

Looks like the start of a fan club Kerouac ;D ! Joking aside, you are a hard act to follow - having given out so much useful information and help on the Paris/France subject. I'm not only referring to AnyPort but other travel sites like Fodors have been lucky to have your valuable input on many subjects. Just for you!

Yay, lots of great photos! Mich, very nice photo of you and your in-laws. You are three lovely ladies! (Your sister-in-law and her mom look very alike, don't they?) Also, sweet photo of you and your husband, with the beautiful background. K, thanks for introducing us to the Kerouacs! You have a lovely family. Good to see you, too, Cheery! That is a darling family photo. And the one of your handsome punk rock husband is so fun. You have such a wonderful family. Do you have horse of your own? Or is it just a hobby? Thanks, Deyana! No, I've only ridden a horse twice and I'm very awkward on them! It's still fun, though.

I like pics that sum up a moment in time....for instance...My Dad's retirement 'do' We planned a surprise party for Mum and Dad on the occasion, like a military operation my 4 sisters and I went along to the posh (for us) venue and my brother Mike picked up Mum and Dad saying that he was taking them for a celebratory drink at the hotel... For weeks beforehand we'd been planning it....and my sister was saying that us siblings don't really look much alike. We talked about all wearing the same colour, or tartan or some other ruse to demonstrate the fact that we were all from the same clan...and at the time (being slightly sozzled) I was wearing my son's Groucho Marx glasses....then PING I had an idea.... The meal went very well, Mummy and Daddy were suitably surprised and we had a very nice time. At the end I furtled in my bag and under the table passed out six pairs of plastic Groucho Marx glasses, my sister Pat produced six cigars (also without my Parents seeing) whilst we were chatting.... Then I said 'Isn't it funny, how you can have six children who all look so different?...well we've thought of a way to rectify the situation' and on cue we all bent down, put on the glasses and looked up...the entire restaurant errupted...everybody was in hysterics (even the waiters)....I got one of the waiters to take this pic...unfortunately he wasn't that confident with the camera (not his fault) we're not all on it...left to right : me, sister Sue, sister Peggy, brother Michael, sister Nicola Mum and Dad...you can't see Pat Dad and Mum loved it....and joined in....happy days... ;D
