It's still Christmas eve for some of us, moving into the 25th for others. Wherever you are and however you celebrate, here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday and everything you wish for in the year ahead. Also, thanks to all of you for being willing to gather in this little online venue and to make it better every single day.
Please add your own greetings here if you like.
Best wishes from me & my little dog, too ~~

Well, I will add my greetings as well, as the December 31st deadline rapidly approaches!
Actually, in France, January is the month for greetings for the new year. Christmas cards are not sent, but are replaced by best wishes for the upcoming year. I have never investigated the tradition, but I would not be surprised if it dates back to the time when religion was stamped out after the revolution. Actually, it is much more convenient because you don't have to remember the religion (if any) of your friends and other relations to avoid a faux-pas.

"Outstanding in our field" Happy New Year from Mr. and Mrs. Kimby in Montana! (We sent out about 100 cards with this photo on it, and a photocopied 1 page update for those we haven't been in touch with since last Christmas.)

Great picture, Kimby.
I think the video of the Dancing Man is appropriate for New Year's. It always brings a smile to my face from everywhere around the world.

A Happy New Year to all from a soggy, windy area of France, 8 km from the ocean, 40 km north of Biarritz.

Yes, I send my temps des Fêtes greetings at New Year's too.
Bixa, little dog? That is great news. Alas I presume this is not your Ginger, if I remember her name, but a new friend?
Bit low-key this year, as I have a minor upper-respiratory malady - either a bad cold or a mild case of the flu - I'm not bedridden or anything but feel dizzy and weak. So saving my bottle of Crémant d'Alsace for next week, when friends who are now in the countryside return to civilisation.

well i hope you all had a merry christmas! (am a bit late to this thread) January is the month for greetings for the new year. Christmas cards are not sent I send my temps des Fêtes greetings at New Year's too. Actually, the thread title is merely "holiday greetings", so we can salute each other in this season, no matter our customs or beliefs. My only fear is that I may draw criticism from Sarah Palin since, like the Obamas, I only used balls, baubles & a bowser in my greeting. Aren't we all lucky to have all these people around the world to dance with, hug, or at least say hi to now and throughout the year?

How I enjoyed both of these videos! Thank you Kerouac and Kimby!
I think the military man in the DMZ, South Korea would have loved to have been able to dance, darn protocols! ha ha! And I also enjoyed when he was is India and joined the ladies in a few traditional steps.
The free hug poster is such a wonderful way for those young people to bring smiles and warm feelings to many people that day, you could see the one lady had a jump in her step after being hugged.
Wishing everyone a few dancing moments and many hugs for 2012.
Cheers! Mich
