We have all seen examples of how nature likes to move back in as soon as humankind has wandered away -- and sometimes without even waiting. I thought we could post pictures of that sort of thing here -- and since a lot of pictures that qualify have already been used on a lot of other threads, feel free to copy them again here. Here's a service station only 100 meters from the Paris city limits.

Great photos and topic! It's always fascinating to see nature undoing man's accomplishments. Off to check out your Cambodia threads now.

I'm glad you dug this up because I noticed the topic the other day and told myself it needs to be revived soon! So thank you for doing so.

You're very welcome. I don't usually think about the topic, though I probably should. I did hesitate a bit since my photos aren't as dramatic as yours, but I think I can probably find a few other places that will fit in a more subdued way.

Guess this would've been a better place for my garden snaps.

Thanks for updating this thread! I see I never even commented on it & it's full of great pictures. I love "elf services" and Htmb's moody staircase. Fumobici's stone ruin is wonderful, as are Amboseli's weeds & Kerouac's railway line. I actually took some photos the other day specifically for this thread, so excuse the mini-thread:
