Gorgeous and interesting new photos, Lugg. It's really nice to look through this thread again, as well as to see your new posts.

I really enjoyed the new set of photos, too. Oddly enough, I have never been on the river in Bangkok in spite of all of my trips there.
And I visited the Grand Palace just once. I will always prefer street scenes to get the feel of a city, so I'm glad you posted plenty of those, too.

Nycgirl, I love how in one of your pictures the boats look like they are floating in the air, the water's so clear.

What's the story with the alligator? Is he trapped there I am not sure - my guide books refer to 3 crocs . Perhaps there were 3 once; see the 2 skeletons in the pic ? However he ended up here it was not a pretty sight. Too small an enclosure and needing some fresh water and a good clean up..... Perhaps Curt knows more ?

Most people just do not have the well being of alligators at heart. Just seeing them enclosed in a place where they can do no harm seems to please the majority.

Great pictures! The ones of Krabi show me what I missed by not snorkelling...
