we regularly have: - risotto (flavoured with whatever fresh vegetable we fancy, bf being keen on beetroot risotto_ - pasta served with a tomato-based sauce, sometimes varied with broccoli/purple sprouting/cauliflower/olives - roast root vegetables is a staple of our winter evenings - anything goes mixed salads are our weekday lunch, different everyday. - yellow split-pea curry with rice and some vegetable - at weekends, we often enjoy a rare steak with potatoes and seasonal vegetables - baked potatoes - Since I mentioned our weekday lunch, I think I can add another evening dish: bean and vegetables stews/soups/curries. The techniques are very similar, but variations in beans/cereals and using seasonal vegetables make it unique every time.
Note that I didn't mention cheese, as I have it most days. Need to re-instate the cheese and port evenings!

I tend to vary our meals a lot, but I do have some fall back meals. My family can always tell Mom is not at her best if I make brown rice in the rice cooker, flavored only by a bay leaf and topped by a little butter, chicken breasts pulled from the freezer, seasoned and herbed with whatever comes to hand closest, and carrots steamed in the microwave with a little thyme honey. Other than that one fall back, I don't think we've had the same thing twice in the last six months.
