Apparently it has been discovered that a lot more people will do things ecologically if you reward them with something other than your warm encouragements. So all of the various bike sharing schemes in France now allow you to earn points every time you ride your bike -- and these points can be converted into real green rewards. Riding a municipal bike is not the only way to earn points -- it's all explained on the website -- in French. CitéGreenI already have 75 points. That's more than enough for an 8€ discount coupon on organic champagne, for example...

I see that I now have enough points to order 3 films on VOD if I want, or a 60% discount on the rental of an electric bike.
