The architecture looks very elegant. Quite different from whatever I've seen in the US, except for Boston.

While I very much approve of the height limitations in Washington D.C., this does sort of show that it is possible to make places totally soulless with excessive urban planning. If there is no life visible anywhere, what's the point? I must admit that I saw the same thing when I visited Canberra -- beautiful and dead (which is of course not the case of DC, just this particular photo).

Oh, yes, it's the picture. This is more a tourist type area by the museums. I actually took the photo out the window of the Native American Museum. Next time I go I will take photos of the downtown business areas I frequent. The streets are packed with people, even in the evenings.

Close enough then, you can say you saw NYC.
Strangely abstracted by nthe distance, interesting.

Very nice! They look like Impressionist paintings or vintage photos.

Terrific shots, especially of Dubai.
It sure looks like a wacky city. Such an odd juxtaposition between soaring skyscrapers and teeny tiny little houses.

Cool photos, Lugg. Male looks impossible & Dubai like the illustration on an old sci-fi magazine.

When I was last in Male, I don't think there were any buildings more than 3 floors high!

Great photos - it's amazing how different some of them are and at the same time just awe inspiring. I believe that's London... right Kerouac? I went to the top of St. Pauls and got some cool shots from there Paris from the Eiffel Tower (my first trip) Montmartre from the Notre Dame tower: Eiffel Tower from the Notre Dame tower: Dingle, Ireland Lago Turano Hills, Italy San Diego from our cruise ship:

That is typical London as evidenced by "the Gherkin" being in the photo. I took the picture from the Tate Modern.
