Stirling a township in the Adelaide Hills settled by genteel folk. Cold and wet conditions plus nostalgia for European gardens led them to plant trees etc from "Home". Town is now famous for Autumn displays and open gardens. ....old money!

Poughkeepsie, a city in the state of New York. This name has fascinated me for years, with its baby-talk overtones. I've never heard it spoken but at least today I have its meaning. "A word in the Wappinger language, roughly U-puku-ipi-sing,[6] meaning "the reed-covered lodge by the little-water place."
