I have just enjoyed catching up with your posts on this thread and MC's photos. Thanks Lola and to MC also. My two favourite are the woman in the fur and the couple shot from behind on the bridge, just wonderful

Yes, Lugg ~~ thank you for commenting & causing me to look in here & realize how much new stuff I'd missed since my last visit to this thread.
Lola, this remains the loveliest kind of tribute to a happy time, beautifully, beautifully rendered. Your words tell us so much more than a sketch of what you all did -- they make it all come to life.
There are many wonderful photographs in this world, but it's exceedingly rare to see some like these, that so delicately convey the photographer's mood and sensibility. There is no doubt that your MC is a treasure of a human being, sensitive, mirthful, and kind.

How wonderful to spend a whole year in Paris! Really enjoyed going through this thread, lola. As mentioned before on here, the photos really do capture a Paris that seems so real, almost like being there. The people, the expressions on their faces, the love and affection that Parisians are not afraid to show. Great stuff

Sk8tr and deyana, we so much appreciate your kind words. There really is too much good stuff at this Port to take it all in.
Bixa, that's how I see MC, and you too, you dear.

We’re slowly moving into the Christmas season and Lola’s thread remains beautiful. It is fresh, rich and textured. I’ve never spent Christmas in Paris, but this thread makes me want to go. I’ve read it often, loving how each day goes by, and I appreciate it uniquely each time. What you chose to do, I loved. The photos are superb...
The small church (#15) …the candles, pure and simple, the young woman lighting a candle, the old woman...beautiful.
At St. Ouen, the woman in the white fur coat is magnificent. (#43)
Your trip to ‘the other side’, Pere la Chaise…brought back many memories.
And, ‘at that café, life and beauty’…(#54)
What can I say? I loved your apartment and how you expressed the sense of your Christmas time there…walking around, the sensual theme of jazz manouche, the winter visit to the fabulous flea market at St. Ouen…all of it.

Jazz - thanks for bringing Lola's thread back, it is truly wonderful ….. the photos especially are fantastic. Since we will be leaving in a little over a month it really was timely to bump it Even though it reminds me of course how many things I will not be able to see again this trip LOL

I'm trying a new tactic to beat the summer heat, humidity and thunder storms, by looking at wintertime threads where everyone is bundled up and it looks cold out. But, wow, I'm still blown away by these fantastic photos!!!!

Dear Lola, your Christmas thread is still evocative and beautiful. Love it. At this moment you still make me want to jump on a plane for Paris, tonight. Best wishes for a lovely Christmas season to you and all the AnyPorters..
