I'm pretty sure that we all think strange things about Afghanistan with everything that has happened, the taliban terror and so many other things.

So many things there have changed though... for example, the Afghans now watch and vote on "Afghan Idol." The music absolutely fascinates me since I love to hear popular music from any country in the world.



Afghanistan also has "The Voice" now and here is the promo for it.

Naturally, this star has received death threats and has difficulty performing in her own country.

It's all tacky but it's so good that anything like that exists and reminds us that it's not all Taliban and burqas.
