I've never seen a 10 liter bottle of Coke in real life. The question that comes to mind is - why?
bjd, I think maybe he is trying to show how important he is... I don't really get it.
There are so many of these very sexist kind of old advertisements, I feel almost embarrassed to post them up on here. I leave out the worst ones, they are pretty degrading to woman to say the least. Makes me cringe.
I do wonder why men were held up as these God like beings and women were viewed as being almost nothing in those eras? I mean why? Really. Could it be because men held nearly all the jobs back then and so, being the soul breadwinners were held up in such high esteem? Women were dependent on them because of this in so many ways. It seems until woman started to work and earn their own money, they really were bound to this kind of stereotypical Kitchen/Maid/Angel/Nurse/Slut woman that was viewed the perfect partner in marriage.

Don't forget Deyana, that women used to be viewed as "chattels", for the amusement and delectation of their menfolk, and still are in certain parts of the world. Many countries gave the vote to men long before women. ISTR posting somewhere else on the site about seeing the old man riding the donkey while the woman followed behind on a length of string

All so true, mossie. And, as you say, not much has changed for some women in the world.
Thanks heavens for the vote and some equality!
