This interesting article from the BBC is mostly about how Americans are being overcharged but it gives quite a few interesting comparisons about costs and speeds around the world. This might be a good place to compare what we are paying for such things. I myself am paying around $100 a month (75€ or so) but for a total package deal -- unlimited internet, unlimited land line telephone with free calls to more than 100 countries, about 200 television channels and 3 hours of mobile phone with unlimited SMS. On some of the other travel sites, I am always astonished to see Americans talking about their mobile phone plans and how much they are paying per minute to use their telephones overseas.

And I do believe that us Canadians are over-charged even more than the Americans.
Whenever I am in the UK I can really tell the difference. They have it good there price wise when it comes to cell phones and internet. My UK cell phone has no fees for incoming calls, even though it's just a pay as you go.
Maybe because there is more competition over there, they have to keep their prices down?
