Some of those kids were doing a great job of commenting on how lame the educational methods were. I don't get what is being asked in #3 at all.

Thanks, Lizzy! I was good at math, so must have known that at some point. Makes me wonder what else has crumbled and fallen to the bottom of my brain pan.

Those kids in some cases are very probably the smartest ones in their classes.

This just proves that it's more important to use your own mind and not what the 'education system' pigeonholes you to.
Ask any really successful person who made is big in their field or life --> when did 'what was drummed into you' finish, and when did 'your imagination and ideas take off' ? Probably sooner than you might think. I'm sure the kids who answered those questions will probably be the most interesting of the bunch, nothing boring or mundane about them!
