Oooo ~~ so lush, so green! Great pics, Htmb. I love the one with the water lettuce and the patches of water reflecting the sky. I wonder if all the vegetation covering the water makes it harder on the fishing birds.

I would assume there's some impact, Bixa, though the whole area of the park is 21,000 acres. This is just the spot where water collects before going underground. It's like a giant funnel into the earth. I'm wondering if the massive clumps of vegetation floating on the water are a result of fertilizers that have been washed onto the Prairie.
