Absolutely love the merry-go-round, the first two photos in #154, and everything in the most recent post.
Did you think you were going to be able to find so many worthy subjects for this thread when you started it?

No, I was rather surprised how much black & white and some of the other variations give one a completely new set of eyes.

Black and white demands a different approach to composition sometimes, one certainly notices the difference when thinking about taking shots dependent on which film one has in the camera. I have to admit that once colour became generally available it was the way to go. Of course I had a young family at the time so it was a no brainer.

Definitely. Lovely nostalgic photos for me. I still recognise Passage L'Homme after all these years.

Kerouac you have once again enlightened me to another Paris architectural delight. I never before realised that the metro line to Passy was in fact run over a viaduct. Maybe not one now but I Googled some old photo of it and the same lanterns ( or remakes) are still strung beneath it for lighting. I have stayed in Passy years ago with my mother...in fact in 2000. We often travelled back and forth over the river but never took much notice of the surrounding beneath us. I am keen to take a walk on the Allee des Cygnes now.

These are all wonderful photos, but I particularly like the closer shot of the couple walking.
Elevator or stairs?

I think anyone would be forgiven for mistaking that picture for a Cartier-Bresson!

Makes me cold just to look at them, but these recent photos are marvelous. Paris in the winter. Lovely.
What church is featured in the last photo?

That's the church right next to Gare de l'Est -- Saint Laurent.

I really enjoy seeing these photos. Both black and white, and those with a touch of color, have been a real pleasure to see. Such a delight!
