It's not the same waiter. It was 2009, so the waiter might not even be there. I'm not sure if the place qualifies as a café, but thought the picture of the waiter might just fit the category. The photo was taken the night of the 2014 Fête de la Musique.

That is clearly a café because it displays the tableau des consommations.

Great character studies, too, Kerouac. I could sit and watch people all day and make up stories about them.

I would like to be sitting down at a few of these places right about now. I love sitting there watching people greet friends and family then settle down for a drink and even though I may not know exactly what they are saying, I imagine it being much more exciting than what they are probably saying.
Nice collection from around the city Kerouac.

That last one must be tourist central. I don't fancy someones old coat in a burger!

I like the way you have mixed the eateries with some human element. Makes me feel like Mich64 in imagining conversations by the looks on the faces! I really like the chairs at Charivari, but when I googled them this came up: and I eat that on a Sunday night but not from the tin! tinyurl.com/kvjwk88Looks like a gimmick dish.... Out of all the latest selection of restaurants I would choose Le Select - always wanted to go there.

Hemingway liked it, too.

The last photo is particularly cool. I'm loving your portraits of people in the cafés. Some really good shots!

I liked the patrons sheltering from the rain shower...

I thought it was the Deux Magots in Saint Germain des Prés and was outraged that they had made a mistake in the name when the awning was changed.
