There should still be peaches then, and certainly pears and plums. Baskets marked "Ontario Fruit".

Thanks Lagatta - looking forward to trying the various fruits ( for most of the time we are self catering so will be shopping in the local markets etc. We also plan on visiting the various vineyards in PEC. Also I am very excited about trying poutine for the first time

Also I am very excited about trying poutine for the first time I tried poutine for the first time a few years ago in Montreal. Our son took us to a place called (I think) Poutineville near Beaubien metro. You could choose what you wanted from a list of ingredients. Both my husband and I took the small size and neither of us could finish it. Be warned -- it's filling.
