Your pelican is having a real feast. And that eagle is a classic shot.

Thanks, Mossie. I was very surprised when I realized I was looking at a pair of eagles. Osprey are much more plentiful where I am at the moment, so that's what I thought I was seeing at first.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: you are really the master of bird photographs, Htmb. Love your last three, but the bottom one totally blows me away.

Agreed Bixa!! What lovely shots. And Mossie, I see in your fab photo of the Starling that it is ringed. Starling here are almost treated like vermin so I am wondering if it has escaped from somewhere. Also what would that farmer be harvesting? Potatoes?

He started life as a bird scarer. Now it looks as if he has had a bulb shoved up his backside to act as some sort of scary light.

I so love your colorful birds, Tod! It's been a few years since I've seen roseate spoonbills, so I'm very excited this pair is back.

I LOVE roseate spoonbills. The first one I ever saw flew over the boat I was on in the intracoastal waterway, somewhere between Louisiana and Texas. Then, when I lived in south Texas they were rather common, but always a thrill to see. You captured their delicate coloring and grace beautifully. You have the best domestic birds, Tod! Mossie, that thing is pink. Were you drinking when you took the picture?

Htmb - Those are simply stunning spoonbills. I have never seen anything so beautifully pink....even flamingos. If you see them again I hope you get a really nice close-up for us!

Thank you both! It's raining and, at the moment, there is a flock of at least six roseate spoonbills roosting in the mangroves off my balcony. Hopefully, once the tide goes out, they'll be in a better position for me to photograph. Obviously, I'm not at home.
