This photo is from last summer, I finally got the photos from my husband's cell phone onto my laptop and I really liked this photo so I thought I would share! The lake is currently still frozen with probably 3 feet of snow on top of the ice. Monday I will be adding photos to my Ireland thread.

Thank you, Htmb. I would have liked it have been crisper, but the birds all suddenly swooped up & I caught it on the fly, as it were.
Yes, what she said, Mossie! The little darling looks as though it's posing for you.

I'm sure I've seen blue herons there before. I think it's pretty amazing they live in places like Northern France, as well as Northern Florida.

Finally getting back to this thread -- some real treasure here!
Great pelicans, htmb. Love your intent heron in profile, Kerouac, and your mommy and baby ducks, Mich.
That 2nd peacock picture is killer, htmb.
Mossie, super series plus each photo is perfect as a stand-alone.

Just realised I did not finish off the robin saga. At last two youngsters appeared, very nervous, would not keep still. Then, just as I was going to get a better snap of the larger one, a damn pigeon flew down and frightened them away. they will be up in the wood now getting their red breasts
