Here is the latest trip to the Bush Hairdresser. Since my mother's fall two weeks ago she has not had her hair washed and it also needed a cut. So we set off once more into the wilds of Africa!
I know you were expecting birds, wild animals etc., Kerouac, but it was a very quiet morning with lots of bird calls but do you think they could be seen??!!
What I did find out was that Muffy's real name is Resne` - hence the name of the salon.
I also found out the small pond across from the salon holds SEVEN crocodiles and goes much further into the bush with two more pools.
As I had taken my housemaid with me for assistance with my mother's wheelchair, she was gobsmacked to see these monsters up close.
The path for the wheelchair....oh, heaven help me not to get stuck!
Those naughty monkeys again.
Getting under the dryer.
Scruffy keeping a look-out for crocs...
Quite a sandy path but maybe next time all smooth.
Phillapina cautiously approaches the croc fence..
Muffy the hairdresser/pilot
My smiling Phillapina.
An anecdote Muffy told me whilst we chatted between curlers and comb-out was that the wild monkey's came to gawp at the TV through their lounge window. Victor surfed onto a wild-life program showing crocodiles. They immediately went into a frenzy and shied away.
Flipping back onto another channel they continued to peek through the window. Once again he flipped to the croc scene and they became agitated.
As I told you Muffy and her partner Victor are both pilots. Here is a look into their wonderful
experiences. You will see the famous flying dog "Scruffy' who frequents the salon.
