Very nice, some rather evil looking mushrooms/toadstools.

Very nice, some rather evil looking mushrooms/toadstools. Thanks. The first ones are what we call "Shaggy Manes" and some people find them delicious to eat. I do not, but find them OK. The second and third mushroom shots I can't identify what they are. They are smaller and the stripes on the caps were distinctly blue, which my photos didn't really capture.

Really nice, Fumobici. You've got some beautiful views. I also like the mushrooms. Your framing and composition is superb!

Like everybody else, my eye was caught by the mushroom photos, particularly the first one. I do it very rarely myself, but I know how tricky it can be to get such a good photo from under such a small thing at ground level.

So beautiful, Fumobici -- really, a photo sequence to make the heart sing. There is no point in picking out particular pictures as it all works so wonderfully together. That said, I love what you've done with backlighting and the various captures of your sweet dog, especially that great composition with the white trunks as background. The picture with the fairy moss and the fern just breathes cool moist air -- well, the whole thing is so evocative of autumn. Lovely, thanks.

I love the photo of the tree in the cemetery with the sun behind it - wonderful. The mushrooms/toadstools which definitely look poisonous: The delicate little white ones with the striped cap could be Schizophyllum Commune, but grows on the bark or near the bark of a tree. The beautiful one you photographed from underneath could be Amanita muscaria. Great photos Fumobici which also raised my curiosity!

You know, Fumobici, there will soon be a whole slew of anyporters out in forests around the world, down on their bellys, trying to replicate your mushroom photos. The light in your photos, especially in the wooded areas, is very special. Again, really nice thread!
