What' s involved in getting from Paris to Mont St Michel by public transport ? thanks Dewi

Basically, you take the train from Paris-Montparnasse to Rennes. The most direct services are at 7:08, 9:08, 10:08 and 14:08 and take a bit more than 3 and a half hours. In Rennes you transfer to either a bus direct to the Mont or a local train to Pontorson, followed by a local bus. To reduce stress, it would be a good idea to find a reason to visit Rennes for a day or two.

You wouldn't by any chance know how long the bus ride from Rennes to Mont St. Michel, Kerouac2?

Many thanks. I've been to Paris three times. Each time I've wanted to visit Mont St. Michel, but could never work out how to do it conveniently via rail. This helps tremendously.
