Belgian food used to be very rich (just as French food) but these days, when everyone seems to be on a diet, restaurants offer more healthy food. No more heavy sauces, far less butter and cream. Smaller portions of meat, although I know the places where we can still get a tomahawk steak of 800 grams (for two).
