If I saw strange visions like that it would scare the s**t out of me. At least with alcohol( yeah I know they say it's also a drug) you only see Pink Elephants

Amazing what can be done with a few cans of spray paint. I will have to try and visit this on my trip early next month. Can't wait.

I'll happily take you on a tour, Mossie. After all, I took my mother there the other day for a little photo session, and she's a lot older than you. It was time to send a photo to my brother in the category "See? I haven't strangled her yet!"

This thread is like visiting a really fun and freewheeling museum. So much talent and so much heartfelt expression is on display here.
Also k2, I must say your mother looks wonderful, frankly far better than I would expect given your recent remarks on her condition. The crew at her home must take fabulous care of her.

With your new hip Mossie you wont have to ride shotgun on Kerouac's mothers wheelchair! I hope you take lots of photos and enjoy the experience.

Penalties are huge if you get caught, and the "artwork" usually disappears forever within a day, but I guess the excitement of doing this must be irresistable.

That is very sad news. Here is one of his I found in Belleville a few years ago There are (were, probably painted or built over now) examples in the Charonne area as well. Sad to hear he found an inglorious and premature end in Detroit. Homicide by firearm is a real danger for a young man of color in urban America.

Your wall seems to changing as quickly as the trains which rush below it. Here is evidence of the spent fuel used to drive it.

Forgive me for asking, but are you telling us that the delivery trucks are painted in aerosol artwork by the people delivering the market products? OR, do they let their kids go to town Those vehicles and others have always intrigued me as to how they got that way... I've almost made up my mind over the visits to Paris, that the arty farty aerosol guys did it without permission and it just costs too much to remove it.

I just imagine that after the trucks have been covered with ugly tags for long enough, they are happy if a graffiti artist offers to decorate.
