You're making us regress with your dawdling!

Good. It could mean people might start having more of a laugh .....
But, alas, it's pretty likely I'll be back working on the wood later today .

I wonder if the final result is ready to be put on display for us...

I saw where Gyro made mention of this bow (or what I assume is the same bow) on another forum. These things must be really time-intensive, but I wish he'd give us a peek at its level of completion. It's hard to imagine a piece of wood eventually emerging as a springy balanced bow.

Flynn made a poor Robin Hood and I shudder to think what Russell Crowe will make of him. The best was Richard Greene by far. One thing though, the name Robin Hood was actually a generic term for an outlaw, as John Doe is for an unknown corpse.

I have thought about this thread on several occasions myself and wondered. He may have made a few more by now, maybe even one for his young son. My mother was into archery, I have a great old photo of her with her bow and arrow. I'm grateful that she retired from this hobby after motherhood for reasons I won't go into here...

We all need to sharpen our spokeshave; I'm trying! This does seem like an interrupted and unfinished thread. I would like to hear the rest of the tale of the bow. And, I think that Gyro's next project was to build a canoe!
