It's friday and I have a headache.
Weather seems fine here, I guess it will be sunny. I think I should get out and enjoy the sun somewhere. The vibe outside makes you feel positive.

No, not a big cut, just a little bit. And I need some more blonde on my head. It always fades in winter, it looks terribly boring and kind of dead right now.

My daughter will be with me for the weekend. I'll go shop-gazing with her tomorrow morning , then I'll be out to dinner with a friend whose son, a computer tecchie, will put a Japanese script language programme on my laptop...then Sunday I have the usual duty of cooking lunch for the old couple.

Ah, friday!
I will be going to the store, a 30 min walk once I get done working at around 1600. Ingredients for my curry and a bottle of wine. whilst dinner is simmering I will call some friends and talk with one of my daughters on Skype. Combination of poor forecast and the 3 Rugby international games on TV mans that I will be doing not much after Sat lunchtime, so I had better get out for a walk in the snow before then.

Off to tend to one of my favourite client's garden. Probably only a couple of hours work. My guru has arrived and we will probably tool around. She is going to help me with computer stuff and the possible purchase of a camera. We will probably dine at her fav Middle Eastern place. Tomorrow is work in my own garden. Am so far behind. Need to put up the purple martin houses and gourds that I grew especially for them and made into housing. I'm told they are making an early arrival this year. Sunday, don't know yet, probably more of same and hopefully pics!

All fingers & toes are crossed about the camera! I strongly suggest getting a rechargeable batteries -- you can buy them together with the recharger where cameras are sold.

Having some friends over for lunch tomorrow, they have never had Indian food and want to try it. Before they come, we will head to the Vega Central, a big sort of farmers' market to buy the stuff to cook. Sunday I actually should be doing some work, I am getting a bit behind on reports again and need to finish something so I can invoice.

Well, my weekend just took a sharp left turn (in a nice way).
My nephew called me at 5pm yesterday afternoon to ask if he can come and spend the weekend with us. For various reasons, one being my brother's ex-wife, we have not seen him for about 6 years. So, I am delighted to have him. He arrived after midnight, and he is still sleeping, but I am sure we will have lots of catching up to do when he wakes.
My mom will be happy to see him as will his cousins, so I expect I will have a house full later today. I think I should plan a braai (bbq).

Oh ~~ that's wonderful, Palesa! How old is he? How awful for you all not to have seen him for so long. That's going to be a happy braai.

He is 19 (i think) they are all growing up too fast for me to keep track!
It was his sister that visited a few weeks back.
When they were young, we were very close, when my brother and sil got divorced, this side of the family were pretty much not allowed to see them. (Before the 6 years (when we saw them for a brief visit) it was 2 years before that.
I always knew when they were old enough to make their own choices, they would "return". And I am so pleased that it has happened.

Hello, I'm APD, and I need to end the work week, Friday, on a high note.
Otherwise I'm grumpy for a while longer before I leech all the nonsense out my system.
