No energy to deal with it at this time. Too depressing. One fence is chock full of our native passiflora, aka, Maypop. Gulf Fritilaries everywhere (their larval food). Love in the ruins... Tough Casi , but I guess that for the wildlife its a treat maybe ?

My efforts to seed native plants into the grassland at the lake cottage are beginning to bear fruit, I mean flowers.
It’s only been about 5 years for the Arrowleaf Balsamroot to show its sunny face.

Common name is Columbine in US and Canada, anyway. Thank you Lugg and Kimby!

Fantastic pink! You must have been lolling in the grass to get that angle The building behind looks very Flemish? Dutch?

That was in Deauville yesterday. There was a retaining wall above street level to bring the plants to the proper level for me.

The Sugar birds are having a field day with my Wild Dagga(Cannabis) plant - Leonotis Leonurus or Lions Tail bush. I think the Klip Dagga - Leonotis Nepetifolia is classed as a herb but looks similar. As you can see it is growing in my wild garden where I never water anything. The cactus and other dry earth plants are being overwhelmed with the pumpkins which are sprawling everywhere. Must be good crop on the ground. Another fountain of sweet nectar for the birds is coming from my Salvia Victoria.

I see your elderberry really went to town. It is magnificent. Can't tell you how much I love that sweet pea portrait, but I reveled in all the pictures.

Lovely and graceful, whatagain. It looks like a dogwood to me, one of the cornus family, maybe cornus kousa. They have a unique leaf but I can't get a close look.

WoW what a colour. I remember long ago buying a large assortment of Arum lilies but the moles ate the lot soon after planting.

Amazing photos! My yard is looking a bit midsummer sad right now, I don't have many annuals to spice things up.

Cheery that fox glove hybris is so similar to one I treated my daughter to for her garden. Does it self seed easily ?
