I don't know where they import them from, though.

Bixa, is the jumper on a skateboard? This is pretty cool work on your part!

Thank you, Kerouac & Htmb!
And thanks for picking up on the skateboard, Htmb. I included some of his pals in the second photo as a clue, since the moving board hardly shows up.

Do they even look up and see that it's spring?

Is coffee involved?

Yes, much, much coffee. Although it seems like coffee is just an excuse for wifi, these days.

Having inflicted Starbucks on the rest of the world, Seattlites can rest. ;-)

I suspect that bird is about to be wed to some mashed potatoes and gravy! Or rice and beans, more likely.

Kimby - I think you're right! Just thinking the poor thing being cornered and caught, then dressed....I don't even want to think it has a garter on one leg..then made to lie in the basket for hours. What a relief to be roasted.

This group of pictures really belongs in "Local Asininity", but this thread will have to do. This is the ENTIRE seating for the Oaxaca airport, despite the fact that it was recently renovated & doubled in size. Before, there were too few seats, but at least then there was the excuse of the airport being dinky. The space in front of that seating area ~ And looking waaaaay back toward the check-in desks. I wasn't even standing right in front of the seating area when I took this picture. The area on the left with the square columns is a good sized café. Perhaps the idea was to force people to buy stuff there in order to sit down. All of the money must have been spent on the acres of marble flooring. The announcements are in Spanish and English, but might as well be in Klingon since all those hard surfaces turn the announcements into echoing gibberish.
