Alli is priceless -- it was just authorized for sale here, and stories are already circulating about the "side effects." I think I might buy some stock in detergent companies.

Oh god, this is funny! I was psychologically incapable of clicking on any of the pictures, but some of you out there might enjoy them.
This line: I disrobed and looked at my underwear. It looked like the Shroud of Turin, if the Messiah had been incontinent. ;D ;D ;D ;

You want to see the pictures, Cigalechanta?!
They're clickable text links -- say something like day seven, etc.

My friend who was my witness at my wedding is half Peruvian so she goes to Lima once a year to see family and friends. She tends to put on some weight when she goes with all the going out and invitations to have dinner or lunch at people's houses. The last time she went with her then-boyfriend. A friend of hers offered her the Peruvian equivalent of Alli and she gave it a try. Since her boyfriend had never been to Lima, they did some of the touristy stuff. They were in a museum, when she began to have some Alli related problems - wearing white pants! She had to spend the rest of the museum visit with her jacket wrapped around her waist.
After this glowing endorsement she then said, "you know, I have some pills left, do you want to give it a try?"

;D So you took 'em, right?
Wouldn't you love to know what kinds of vitamin deficiency related problems there must be after regular (ahem) use of this stuff?

Not to mention dehydration,out of whack electrolytes... When I worked on the Eating Disorders unit with the young women,some of the health related issues that came up as a result of laxative abuse were really,really scary.

No way did I try them! I did find it amusing that she would even offer them after telling me about the unpleasant side effects.

This triggered a very funny story that happened when I was in the 7th grade. I had just transferred from private to public school. I was way ahead academically and this brought out some cruelties from my new classmates. Anyway,on the way to school in the morning we would stop at the little corner grocery to get candy to take to school to sneak eating as it was forbidden. The boy who sat behind me used to go into my little purse and steal my candy. He was a bully. So,one day I bought some Chiclets chewing gum,small sugar coated squares in a box and I replaced them with Feenamint,a similar shaped sugar coated laxative. That morning when Ed,said bully ,took my candy he chucked down the whole box for all to see ,laughing. He was not in class the next morning and never took my candy again. We went on to become good friends and he brings it up to this day.
