Starting today, everyone in the UK is into tennis for 2 weeks!
So Nadal is having knee trouble and has withdrawn from the tournament leaving Andy Murray as the top seed in that half of the draw. He is seeded now to meet Roddick in the semi-final.
I would imagine that the awfully nice Swiss bloke must be feeling pretty good this morning? A Murray v Federer final would be a massive event and very positive for tennis in this country.

I watched a great game today between Djokovich and the French bloke whose name I forget. He gave Novak a very good run for his money and I really enjoyed the 3 hours of entertainment.

The only thing my mother seems to have any interest in these days on TV is tennis. She went on and on in the most animated fashion with me on the phone about Wimbledon. I am pleased she is getting some enjoyment out of something. (She loves Roger).

Yeah, that's going to be the only problem with it this year. I'm almost tempted not to watch Wimbers because of all the sycophantic bullshit and pathetic hype about Murray. It's the same whenever the England national football team are in a competition; a load of journo hacks always start banging on about 'the spirit of '66' etc. Cringingly embarassing bollocks.
And now Murray has won his first game. It'll only get worse now. The sooner he's out, the better.

What a nail-biter that was. Plenty of errors under pressure by both guys. I actually felt sorry for the Warwinka who just got pipped at the last by Murray.
No way that Murray is winning it playing like that.
Federed plays Karlovic in the Quarters, that should be a fascinating clash of styles. Could be the game of the tournament in fact.

I would be putting my 50 cents on Roddick tomorrow. Roger is nailed on for the title. Has been since Rat-boy withdrew before the tournament.

When do the sisters play one another? That must be weird for them,or not? I haven't really followed them too much. Do they get along with one another?

Yes, Roger has regained his #1 spot. But I am impatient for the return of Nadal to see what happens next.

That was one hell of a match yesterday. It was even stevens all the way until Federer broke Roddick's service. I felt very sorry for Roddick; he looked devastated, but he'll return to win the title I'm sure. Federer came across as a very nice man.

The crowd was very much for Roddick too, must have made him feel even moreso. And with Sampras looking on. Ah well, they were gentlemen, both of them.

I did not see a single match of Wimbledon. It was only on some obscure cable channel as far as I know. Very strange, because the French are almost as fascinated by Wimbledon as by Roland Garros.
What is the next major tournament?
