Lugg, that is you and my sister as well! Her description of any tasty meal she has prepared or ( a long time ago) eaten at a restaurant, is always FAB! Lately she cooked duck breasts in marmalade and FAB gooseberries!
Aaaaaaarggggghhhh! I have resisted putting "delish" & all its cousins on here because they're so irritating I even hate to type them. Apparently many people now believe that "comfy" is a real word. And women in generations younger than mine shamelessly refer to their spouses as "hubby". I have probably already ranted about "judgy (judgey?), or if I didn't, I should have. All words of this ilk sound like baby talk, something which is excruciating to anyone who is not an actual baby. In that vein, "yummy" has been trotted out again and is being used ad nauseum. Well, when "delish" is not used in its stead.
I don't know what age group promoted the use of yum/yummy for adults. It was probably millennials, but I've noticed people in my age group (i.e., should know better) also sieze on any goofball usage that comes down the pike.
