Just to prove a point!
What brand of tampon do you use, or do you prefer a mooncup.
At first I was a bit freaked out by the mooncup, but as time goes by I am getting used to the idea. So I may invest in one soon. Problem is they are very expensive with the exchange rate where it is.
So, I use Lilettes. I often wonder if they are available internationally.

Never heard of Lilettes. I use Tampax. (those with applicator to be precise) For some reason the idea of the mooncup puts me off, that's nothing for me.

Seems to be available in UK, Ireland and SA. We do have tampax on our shelves, have never used them. I think the applicator scared me off

Yeah we have lillets here but I prefer the applicator.
A mooncup doesn't appeal to me I must admit.

Kotex - I like the hearts, poppies and strawberries, it makes me smile. Still jury is out about mooncup - so darn expensive here but we've spoken about this before my flower!

The mooncup sounds interesting and I think I'll give it a try once I'm in a country where it is available. Tampons are still a bit hard to come by and much more expensive than in Europe. Tampon wise you have to buy what you can find here, you'll be lucky enough to have a supermarket that stocks them. So far I've only found o.b. here and lots of female friends here moan that there is no Tampax e.g. tampons with applicators. Women who prefer sanitary pads are in heaven. Really, I never knew there could be so many different sorts and brands.

I use natracare pads, but they are not good for really heavy flow. So a bit hit and miss.
I have tried and tried to think about a mooncup, but some women's description of it really puts me off.

I use pads. I got tired of tampons leaking, and was wearing a thin pad with them anyway. Finally, one day I said to heck with the tampons, and have stuck with pads ever since.

tampons hurt me if the flow isn't constant. Which it never is for me.
I have seen and heard of washable pads... the next step for me, I think!

it doesn't stop it straight away, K2... best option is getting rid of the womb... but maybe a bit drastic?
